Hamerkop and Frog
The Hamerkop bird is regarded with some superstition by the local people of the Kwa-Zulu Natal province of South Africa. Indeed it does appear rather an evil looking bird. For this frog it was more than superstition. The Hamerkop caught the frog just after dawn and proceeded to violently toss it around and strike it repeatedly against the ground. This "tenderisation" process lasted over 20 minutes before the frog was finally swallowed whole.
